Quick note before starting: you originally subscribed to AI Brief, and we’re now moving forward under a new name — AI Edge (name still evolving). This is a new personal project I’m building, focused on practical AI that actually makes your work and life easier. That’s why you’re receiving this from a new domain. I write these emails myself, I read every reply, and I’d love to know what you want to see more (or less) of — just hit reply anytime.¡

Are you a textbook overthinker? A brainstormer? A hopeless romantic? Your Year with ChatGPT can help give you insight into who you are as a person — at least according to your AI conversations.

Today: Satya Nadella’s ultimatum, learn how to build, edit, and share mini AI apps, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

The Essentials

1. OpenAI launches “Your Year with ChatGPT” that summarizes your chats: The company is rolling out a personalized year-in-review feature that analyzes your chats and offers insights — similar to Spotify Wrapped, but for your AI conversations. The recap includes stats, catchy graphics, awards, and even a custom image and poem based on your most-discussed topics. Now available for free, Plus, and Pro users who meet a minimum chat threshold and have Memory enabled.

2. Satya Nadella intensifies oversight amid Microsoft’s AI push: The CEO is taking an increasingly hands-on role in the company's AI transformation, reportedly pushing some executives to fully commit to the "AI revolution" or leave. Nadella is pressuring teams to “work faster and leaner," consolidating power around AI leaders, and running a weekly AI accelerator meeting to surface new productivity strategies. The urgency is partly driven by sluggish Copilot adoption.

3. YouTube wants creators to make games, launches new beta program: YouTube Gaming announced Playables Builder, a prototype web app that allows select creators to make bite-sized games using short text, video, or image prompts. Powered by Gemini 3, Creators can describe a game idea in a few lines and convert it into a working, playable experience that can be shared with their audience. An active YouTube channel is required for approval. Learn more here.

The Edge
How to build, edit, and share mini AI apps

Hollywood spent 2023 fighting AI — but now some of its biggest names are joining its cast.

Disney’s game-changing deal. The entertainment giant recently announced a $1 billion equity investment in OpenAI, allowing Sora users to create videos with 200+ copyrighted characters — shocking many in the industry. CEO Bob Iger sees AI as inevitable, saying, "No human generation has ever stood in the way of technological advance, and we don't intend to try."

A-listers are monetizing their voices. Many prominent actors — including Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine — have partnered with AI audio company ElevenLabs to license virtual replications of their voices. Michael Caine’s opinion? ElevenLabs is "using innovation not to replace humanity, but to celebrate it."

Even AI critics see opportunity. James Cameron (the man who literally warned us about killer robots) has been vocal about AI's threat to the industry. Yet he's also joined Stability AI's board with a specific mission: to build AI tools that help VFX artists work faster, not replace them. He believes there are lots of AI products for consumers — but few built for filmmakers.

Lights, camera, algorithm. Hollywood isn't just flirting with AI anymore. While the lawyers are arguing over the fine print, the bean counters have already seen the math, and it's too good to pass up. Whether this leads to a creative boom or just a lot of uncanny valley cameos, the industry is betting its future on silicon over sets.

You are a ruthless prioritization coach with zero tolerance for fluff.
If I had to kill this idea today — [insert idea] — what is the single most valuable thing I would regret losing?
Strip everything else away. Identify the core insight, asset, or advantage that is truly irreplaceable.
Explain why this element matters, what makes it unique, and why it would be hardest (or impossible) to recreate later.
If nothing is worth regretting, say so plainly.

Key Spaces

Midjourney Prompt: A miniature office workspace inside the "office" key on an old beige computer keyboard. Inside the key, there’s a small desk with a laptop, office chair, desk lamp, notebooks, and a focused person working. The word "office" is written in bold letters above the key. There should be no other keys visible except for the ones featuring the letters p, g, or h. The scene captures quiet productivity and modern work life within the minimalistic space created by a single white space bar. --ar 85:128
